Frequently asked questions
Should Organization schema be placed on every page or just the homepage?
Best practice is to include full Organization schema on your homepage, about page, and contact page. For other pages, reference your organization by ID or keep it minimal to prevent redundant markup weight.
What is the importance of the sameAs property?
The sameAs property links your website to external authoritative sources (such as your official LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Wikipedia, or Wikidata pages), allowing Google's entity reconciliation algorithms to verify your brand.
Can I use Organization schema if I am a sole trader or freelancer?
If you operate as a registered business entity or agency, Organization is appropriate. If you market yourself exclusively as an individual professional, you may also combine or prefer Person schema.
What image formats are supported for the organization logo?
Google supports PNG, JPG, WebP, and SVG images. The image must be hosted on a publicly accessible URL and have minimum dimensions of 112x112 pixels.
